About Me

Saman Motamed

I am a visiting researcher at Carnegie Mellon's Robotic Institute, working with Fernando De La Torre.

Previously I was a graduate student at the University of Toronto's Faculty of Medicine, supervised by Farzad Khalvati.

Broadly speaking, I am interested in Explainable Computer Vision and learning from limited labeled data. More recently, I have been interested in Neural Rendering and use of synthetic images to improve model performance and addressing bias.

I did my undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto's Department of Computer Science.
